Conventional Solutions
The traditional metal grating systems that screen by bores and slits are problematic.
Metal gratings are poor in debris screening. Their tendency to rust also make removal for debris clearance a problem.
Concrete channel covers with bores and slits for drainage are heavy and hard to remove for clearance of clogging, making them breeding grounds for germs, roaches, and mosquitos.
High end covers of Stainless Steel grating or granite on Stainless Steel frame still have poor screening effect, leaving hygiene problem unresolved.
Existing drainage covers failed to screen debris. Inevitably, a percentage of debris will drop into the channel during sweep cleaning which attribute to clogging and debris decay in covered channels despite hectic and frequent maintenance effort.
